Portrait of Anna in Volcán Arenal National Park, Costa Rica, with lush foliage and a large tree in the background.

Hi! I’m Anna — biologist by degree, illustrator by obsession, and tropical island fan by nature (literally).

This all started when I was living in Tenerife doing my master’s in biodiversity. Between hiking volcanoes and spotting lizards, I rediscovered my love for drawing. Fast forward a few years, and here I am — in Madrid, working in tech by day, illustrating dreamy island scenes by night (or lunch break).

My art is inspired by the stuff I miss most: warm weather, salty air, and nature doing its weird, wonderful thing. Plants, animals, volcanic landscapes — all simplified, sunset-colored, and slightly nostalgic.

Science helps me draw things that actually look like the thing they’re supposed to be. My biology background shows up in every leaf and feather, even if the final version lives on a tote bag.

Also, my family is partly to blame: my parents moved from Russia to Mallorca chasing the sea. My dad’s always been into islands, adventure stories, and now paints tropical scenes himself — so it runs in the blood.

You’ll find me sketching with a pencil, listening to a playlist that swings between reggaeton and bossanova, then finishing pieces digitally while daydreaming of a beach.

This shop is my little island on the internet.
